Rob Ranit
Pursuing a B.S. in Computer Engineering, Minor in Computer Science

Hi, I’m Rob. I’m an engineering student at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (or Cal Poly Pomona, for short), currently with a 3.77 GPA. My main interest lies in software development and computer vision.
Some of the projects I’ve worked on include a game controller utilizing C++ and an Arduino MEGA, that displays button inputs on an LCD screen, as well as mobile to-do list application that was previously published on the Google Play Store, called ”Log Pose,” which utilized Java and the Dart framework.
As for what I’ve done outside of classes, I was very active in clubs. From May 2023 - May 2024, I was one of the Co-Presidents of Cal Poly Pomona’s Esports organization, Bronco Esports. As co-president, I helped plan a large-scale event in April 2024, Frag Fest. It ended up having 250+ attendees on university campus, and I was in charge of managing teams of volunteers that served food, set up the network, ran gaming tournaments, checked attendees in, and marketed the event to students.
In my free time, I tinker with my Raspberry Pi, listen to records, and play physical trading card games.
