Rob Ranit

Computer Engineering Student

Hi, I'm Rob. I'm a computer engineering student at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona (or Cal Poly Pomona, for short), currently with a 3.74 GPA. I work with hardware and circuitry, but I am also developing my skills in software development/engineering as well.

Currently, I have an intermediate proficency in C++, and am a beginner in Python, HTML, and CSS.

As of May 2023, I'm one of the Co-Presidents of Cal Poly Pomona's Esports organization, Bronco Esports. Previously, I was the Executive Board Secretary. As Secretary, I helped keep track of meeting notes, and acted as a floater, assisting the board and the members with event planning and more. I'm also the the Fighting Games Coordinator, I act as the point of contact for club collaborations and run fighting game events here at Cal Poly Pomona.

As of August 2023, I will be the Executive Board Secretary for the Cal Poly Pomona Game Development Club. I've worked on a few games in the club over the years, and I want to help the club run as smoothly as possible. Game development is such a fun way to practice programming, and I owe a lot of my programming interest to game development.

In my free time, I engage in coding, reading, learning how to cook (my favorite dish to cook currently is Tonkatsu, a Japanese breaded pork cutlet dish), and exercising.
